I'm not sure I really buy this. The Sunset terminators always basically ignored or killed any human who wasn't the target. But I guess if this takes place in some snarled timeline resembling After T2 then Skynet may have reviewed the behavior of the reprogrammed T-800 and decided to make cooperation with humans a part of its protocols.
