I really appreciate how they took the time and care to make sure to letter the words upside down when they were hanging upside down, as that's exactly how sound works in real life.

A lot of people don't realize that Zatanna's just talking normally while facing away from the camera.

I thought Larry Hama on breakdowns would be the most " Wha- huh. " thing, but then Ikon turned out to be a graying self-redeeming superhero.

Seems like a good fit to me, he's an excellent visual storyteller, and Slade is a character that deals with a lot of things Larry is great at handling. Certainly his presence on this book makes me want to check it out as someone whose never been a Deathstroke fan (but then I'm a total Hama fangirl)

So, what's the deal with the suit they keep referencing?

It's a high-tech super-suit with a built-in forcefield, made by Isherwood. That's really all there to it so far, though it'll probably be important later because, as you've noticed, the writing is drawing so much attention to it.

I quite like Dr. Ikon's costume, it's very 90's, but also clean enough to work for me.

I really do need to check this series out, I skipped it initially but the reception to it seems almost universally positive.
