Okay, I'll admit I'm kinda scratching my head here. I mean, is it just me, or are they really rushing through the whole "five stages of grief" thing?
Like "oh yeah, four days ago the dead rose and started eating people*, and today it happened to mom too. Rough, ain't it buddy? Btw care to join me for a skull splatter spree?"
My understanding is... this is how a lot of people act in disaster situations. When the pressure is on, it's much more 'matter-of-fact, support-each-other, stay-together.'
It's only once you have safety when things really hit.
I actually completely get it myself, since that's how I react to catastrophe. The nastier it is, the more likely I am to just go into action mode and be like, "Huh. I guess this is how it is now." I go to pieces... but it's usually massive delayed reaction and takes either safety or really intense long-term stress to burst out. (As in, months or years. My emotions move at half-speed at best.)
Founded by girl geeks and members of the slash fandom, scans_daily strives to provide an atmosphere which is LGBTQ-friendly, anti-racist, anti-ableist, woman-friendly and otherwise discrimination and harassment free.
Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.

Maybe I'm just a wuss.
*in a world that never heard of zombies, at that.
