I find that top image kind of funny given that in 'A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving', Woodstock was shown eating turkey.

Birds can eat other birds, like we eat other mammals. And there's a clear distinction between sentient and non-sentient animals in Disneyverse.

The disturbing thing for me is the ecological indifference. "Boy, these animals surely are growing rare and hard to find these days! I better shot one!"

Also, a prerequisite reminder that in the real worlds Ducks regularly engage in cannibalism. Actually, according to this wiki page, all poultry engages in cannibalism:

Well, to be fair, Donald didn't actually end up eating one of the increasingly-rare turkeys of Duckburg!

First, he had a bit of trouble carving it.



And then the company he'd hired to clean the bird revealed what it was he'd really hunted down.
