This was the first comic I ever owned and I go back to it a lot. The Otto bits are heartbreaking.

Over the years I have done a 180 on Peter here though. He shows some serious rage issues in the earlier Daily Bugle scene. As a kid watching him beat up the office jerk for breaking MJ's gift was great. Now I wonder why he wasn't charged with assault.

(Also, that scene doesn't work nearly as well if Pete and MJ aren't newlyweds)

It's not ineptitude to disagree, and it's the same contribution you've made to scans at times. Saying 'meh' to your opinion that you'd beat someone up for breaking something is the same as you going 'meh' to the latest in the - apparently ceaseless - line of things you're unimpressed with. No different.

Boy, can you not get more on the nose than that initial panel with Peter. The only thing worse would be a section with him fighting a bad guy in public and the crowd going "WOW! Do you see him? So much POWER. It's a good thing he's using it... RESPONSIBLY."

After the character development in Superior Spiderman, I'll always have a soft spot for Otto.
