Superman okay and in good health on the next page. As it shows the Justice League being held captive in special cells to supress their powers by Amanda Waller at the Suicide Squad headquarters.
Perhaps he doesn't come across as being hot because his skin acts as super insulation.
Hey, if writers keep going on about how his cells store "solar energy" I don't have a problem with the writers working within the constraints of these particular comic book physics.
Taking down Superman does not seem to fit Wallers agenda. I mean, he is often the only line of defense against threat she just doesn't have the resources to be relevant to.
So did the JL win the fight? Because given their status as the best and brightest, and the fact that they have not one, but two planet buster god like beings on the team, who if written correctly could have wrapped this up in a matter of seconds, they should win pretty easily. How can anyone take this book seriously?
I admit, I haven't been following the nu52 Suicide Squad at all... but the Waller here seems a might more vicious than the one I'm familiar with. The Wall from the Ostrander days wouldn't kill the whole team just to keep the JLA from capturing them, nor would she treat the heroes like so many pawns. Ostrander-Wall was a pretty terrible person, but she had lines she wouldn't cross, and understood the value of the super-hero community.
Granted, that didn't even hold under other writers afterwards, so what do I know?
