I love that poster then argues with the series CREATOR!

So it looks like we'll be seeing some LGBQT representation acknowledged in the series.

It should be noted that Greg Weisman has been seeking to add diversity for decades now so I trust him on this.

He intended the "Gargoyles" character Lexington to be gay, but it was when it couldn't be acknowledged and then the comic was cancelled before it could be addressed

And in a world where Steven Universe and The Legend of Korra have been able to show same sex relationships, it's a more open field at last.

As for who it might be, my first guess would be Impulse and Blue Beetle, because frankly they were adorable together, but I can imagine that with a cast as varied, we could conceivably see Miss Martian exploring a male identity.

I believe the Rebirth version of Aqualad is gay, but the pre-Flashpoint Aqualad that Khaldur is based on (or inspired, the chronology escapes me) was not, though we might go bisexual there.

The most popular one I've seen fanficced since Season 1 is Robin and Kid Flash, but I seriously doubt we'd go down THAT route.

Any other suggestions? Hope.

Well if we go by fanfic then they're all bi.

Aqualad makes the most sense from a corporate synergy standpoint but we've only ever seen him attracted to women in the show.

Impulse seems like a good choice. Maybe there's a story out there addressing his comic counterpart's sexuality but I always thought he was too young for it to come up anyway. Most of the season two newbies are blank slates within the context of the show.

Also pretty sure they said it was someone on the SHOW. I think it'd be a cheat to have it be someone on "Totally Not Apache Chief"'s team but there's always the Justice League

*cough*WonderWoman*cough*

I remember Kaldur being mentioned not to be straight on Greg's answer page. To be honest, it was only one girl (Tula) when he was teenager, so they could say he was gay or bi. That's not the best age to indicate he was straight.

Well also the kiss with Rocket on New Years but that seemed forced (especially compared to the others)

Didn't Rocket kiss him. Also not being straight, does not mean he could be bi. I think he said that Kaldur was queer, which bi does fall under.

IIRC she kissed him on the cheek and he just sort of smiled, but didn't show any particular interest in the whole thing.

Kaldur's one way attraction to Tula reminds me a lot of the kind of crushes I got when I was younger that were really more about trying to be "normal" than about sexual attraction.

This was what I was thinking, but I couldn't find a way to say it properly.

My primary exposure to Bart was YJ (the original comic). He may have been a teenager physically but emotionally he was a child.

Granted I can't speak for the gay experience any more than I know what it's like to grow up in a future VR simulation.

And, in the comics at least, one of the first things Bart did after being released from VR was run around the world kissing girls.

It's one of those things that faded in and out of his character... Like when Raven and Kori were talking about him in his funeral issue, and how he tried to spy on them naked... Raven could sense emotions, and booted him out, Kori doesn't have a nudity taboo and let him watch... the longest she'd ever seen him stand still.

Speaking of Impluse, any sign of him in the Rebirth comics? What about Kon?

Well, here is hoping for a non-crappy version then. They managed with Superman, and they have managed with 4 (ex-)Robins (5 if you count Stephanie).

There was that line about Queen Bee

"And some women"

Though I think that was the show's way of getting away with saying Beast Boy's mom was not straight and affected by her , and got mind controlled to her death.

Well I think it was a way of talking about non-straight women, but I did miss the implication about the mother.

Blue Beetle would be an interesting choice, especially since Traci 13 is in a relationship with Natasha Irons in the comics now.

From a character development perspective I think Arsenal might be an interesting choice, to contrast his experiences and choices with Red Arrow's

I'm guessing Impulse in an "everyone in the future is bisexual" sort of thing.

I have never watched much of the show, but for some reason when I read that I thought of their version of Aqualad. I defer to your greater knowledge; I guess that was just in the comics.

I would love to see DC make a Robin, any Robin, LGBTQ. I think an alternate earth would be the best place for them to do it too.

Based on canon, my first thoughts were Wondergirl or Batgirl (I seem to be the only one considering women though (mainly because of the increased 'acceptability'), did I miss a 'he' somewhere?)

I agree though, Blue Beetle and Impulse would be *adorable*.
