icon_ukIt's just been announced by Warner Brothers Animaton that fan favourite cartoon series "Young Justice" WILL get a long delayed Season 3!!
“The affection that fans have had for Young Justice, and their rallying cry for more episodes, has always resonated with us,” said Sam Register, President, Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Digital Series, in a statement. "We are excited to bring the show back for this loyal fanbase and to provide an opportunity for new viewers to discover this excellent series.”
Original Young Justice producers Brandon Vietti (Batman: Under the Red Hood, Superman: Doomsday) and Greg Weisman (Star Wars Rebels, Gargoyles, The Spectacular Spider-Man) have both returned to the series for the new episodes.
No word as to where it will be available, or exactly when, but it WILL happen!

For legality here's ( the cover image and solicit for the cartoon's companion comic, the latest issue of which comes out on Feb. 15 )
Also, it looks like The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes is getting a new comic series. Still no word on an airdate for Season Two, although since those comics are set for an April release and the movie comes out in May I'm guessing it'll probably be around then.

Mar. 6th, 2011 09:23 pmicon_ukWay back in 1980-ish, after the first major story arc of "The New Teen Titans" was over, Wolfman and Perez did something in issue 8 which was more or less unheard of at the time, an issue devoted to the characters in their off duty lives, especially new characters we're not familiar with.

Episode 8 of Young Justice (which others have noted is more Teen Titans anyway) tries more or less the same thing.

This is actually the second issue of the series, as a #0 came out last month. Interestingly, this issue's written by Art Baltazar and Franco, the team on TINY TITANS and BILLY BATSON. I guess they're DC's go-to guys for all-ages stuff these days?
