So, for Uatu's little coalition, he recruits a lot of cosmic higher-ups, and the Living Tribunal? Seems if you've got the LT, you kind of don't really need anyone else, surely. ... or given LT's actions here, do one thing and go "welp, I tried. Bye!", maybe not. ... starting to think the Living Tribunal's sheer power has been vastly over-sold all these years.
Also: Iron Man is one of the six most powerful Avengers? Iron Man? Really?
-the explosive force of a billion hydrogen bombs- Now, uh... admittedly my grasp of physics and such is lacking (flunked basic physics in school. Badly) but, uh... I'm pretty sure a supernova is a smidge more powerful than that.
And if Korvac had the power to drain reality warpers like the Shaper of Worlds, and the Celestials... why didn't he just blow the ships up? Or send the owners home, brainwashed to leave him alone? There seem to be several very large holes in his plan, is all. And would the power Katrina confers really be greater than that of the freaking Celestials? Of the Shaper? Of every living thing on Earth? For reals?
The LT coordinated their efforts (though a supernova does seem pretty small potatoes compared to telling the Infinity Gauntlet "No, shut up").
The Shaper of Worlds had defected to Korvacs' side, and the Celestials were going out of their way to not interfere, so it might have been willingly given. Also, Korvac's powers did have some limits, such as only able to bring back people he had previously killed with his own power, which is why he wasn't able to bring Cap back.
I didn't think that Carina gave him more power than the Celestials, just that he saved her for last.
Well, do keep in mind this was written in like the late 70's/early 80's. Some of the power levels, etc... were not quite as magnified as they've become in years to come.
And yeah, Iron Man is traditionally in the upper tier of Avengers power, barring outliers like the Sentry. For the roster that the Avengers had at the time/up to that point, he'd definitely qualify. Bear in mind he'd managed to KTFO a fairly angry Hulk in that particular suit (it burned out/froze the suit, but he did it).
This story always kind of haunted me, especially the depiction of the end of all things on that final page, and the Watcher's final speech. I mean, just dang, even for What If? this is a harsh one.
Gotta love giant naked genital-less Korvac sitting on Earth getting the Arctic all up in his cosmic crack, though.

There are some mighty big gaps of logic there...
