I'll admit that I'm not interested, and of course your right about being complicated, but I'm actually glad they resolved this. It was always the most frustrating part of them, aside from some debatable character stuff and Bobbygate.
Here's the thing about these characters. I was never bothered by them at all, but when Marvel is trying to restart or make things fresh again with X-Men, it would feel like a better idea to send them home. I just don't get why Marvel can't get rid of them, since things are just so overcomplicated with them now. There's no point to them anymore and nothing that you can do besides to a Legion Lost story.
It does raise an interesting question, though (unless they addressed it already): If this Bobby is gay, that doesn't mean the modern Bobby is, does it?
Probably depends on what the divergence point was between the timelines.
If it was the O5 falling into the 616 then both Bobbys are gay... except if dimension travel can change people's orientations now. If it was something earlier then the farther back in the past it is the more likely the differences become.
Founded by girl geeks and members of the slash fandom, scans_daily strives to provide an atmosphere which is LGBTQ-friendly, anti-racist, anti-ableist, woman-friendly and otherwise discrimination and harassment free.
Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.
