Well, I can tell by the cover that the writer holds Aquaman in high regard.

I kinda like it. it does resemble a silver-age cover but with a slightly darker twist.

Sea King actually walked into the chamber my himself.
I guess the next hero to be killed will walk into a room where there is a big red button. And press it.

So... Sea King can't just bust through the chamber with his super strength? Because he's clearly a riff of off Aquaman, and Aquaman has super strength...

Or is this one of those dumbass Badass Normal vs Superhero scenarios where the supes have powers, but a very specific level of power that they're not immune to bullets? Or they can punch through concrete but can't even dent steel plating?

He killed Not-Aquaman with a trap the real Aquaman has escaped dozens of times. That doesn't make the villain start; it makes all the other supervillains look dumb for having never tried this before.

To be fair, he *specifically* could be less powerful, not all versions of Aquaman could just brute force out either.

Yep, I sure can see how this is a serial killer and not a supervillain. If the killer was a supervillain, he'd have put the hero in a death trap and monologued at him exactly how the trap was going to work.

Far be it for me to judge, I think hunting serial killers would probably be more comfortable with a bra.

Well, it'd also be more comfortable to take aim with both hands pointing the gun in front of you instead of holding one out perpendicular to your body like you're tossing a frisbee, but then how could see side-boob? Detectives have to think of stuff like that.
