You know, besides Medusa's wig (which may be changed in post, we don't know at this point) and Black Bolt's lack of a fork, they don't look half bad.

And according to the article, Lockjaw will be the audience favorite. Obvious statement is obvious.

And Gorgon needs his cloven hooves, otherwise he doesn't look quite right.

All in all, not a bad group shot of our Attilan royals. Granted, seeing Black Bolt without his cosmic tuning fork is odd, but still enjoyable. As for Medusa and her hair, I think the wig's purely a promotional piece, myself. In the show proper, it'll likely be purely digital.

Medusa is reminding me of someone, and it's NOT Starfire despite the hair/dress colour scheme..

The expression has a bit of the Meg Foaster's Evil-Lyn to it, but there's something about the pose and the hair which makes me think of something else but I can't think WHAT... It's driving me nuts

I mean this doesn't look amazing (especially Medusa's wig) but I've got to give them credit for actually doing that thing with Crystal's hair. The costumes look pretty nice as well.

I can at least see Black Bolt, Medusa, and Crystal as a sort of “Casual Cosplay” version of the characters, but I’m not feeling Gorgon, Karnak, or Maximus at all.

Also: does Medusa have some boobsock thing going on? Advanced Inhuman Fabric Technology, centuries ahead of what we lowly humans have?

I greatly disagree when it comes with Maximus' casting, he looks exactly like Maximus. Plus he's wearing what comics Maximus has been wearing in recent years.

I think they did a great job with Maximus's casting, and if I do give the show a chance it'll be because of him, but I do think his outfit could be a little more formal. Maybe it's just the angle, but it looks like he's just wearing a leather jacket here.

Also, erm, the clothes on the picture you posted are, erm, nothing alike the ones on the actor. I need this iconic coat at least!

Nothing alike is a bit of a stretch, he's only missing the white lnes. Though i do kinda wish he had that.

Crystal and Gorgon are the only ones who look good to me. Karnak is okay-ish, Maximus is extremely meh. Medusa is a freaking disaster, both the dress and hair, which should be curly so that it looks alive. For Black Bolt, it's sorta okay but I'm disappointed he doesn't have a comics accurate costume because it's one of my absolute fave costume designs in comics.

Overall, oh dear.

Fingers crossed Lockjaw will be good.

Maximus looks to be wearing what he has been wearing in the comics recently.

And live action costumes are rarely "comics accurate" anyway, there's always differences.

His costume would be better with some white lines, like in the comics. And he would look better clean-shaven IMO.

I don't mind small differences but big ones bug me. And as I said, Black Bolt's costume is one of my ultimate faves so I was always going to be a tough customer.

They arguably look more like Inhumans than the X-Men did the X-Men.

I mean, you could still tell who most of the X-Men were; Wolverine's hairstyle and claws, Cyclops' visor, Storm's white hair, Magneto's helmet and cape, Xavier's baldness and wheelchair, etc.

If you just saw Black Bolt by himself looking like that, would you know who he was supposed to be?
