Honest question. How does anyone in the Marvel universe trust anyone else? Between secret invasion, Cosmic Cube stuff, mind control, shapeshifters, alternate timelines.

How the hell do you true anyone is anyone?

And how much of an idea of what's plausible have they got left? Given the average level of weirdness in their lives "That wasn't me, I was body-swapped with a dyslexic satanist and spent two months in the arctiv making toys" must seem perfectly sensible and fairly everyday story.

If the different text on the Maker is supposed to represent an audible difference in the voice, perhaps evil Reed is taking steps to make his voice sound like normal Reed's?

Ben was around for the whole "Council of Reeds" thing, right? He knows most alternate reality Reeds are horrible. And he should know that Ultimate/Maker Reed is waaaaay too young to be the 616 Reed.

So why is Ben even entertaining the notion of trusting the Maker?
