Also, the whole banter in the car is really quite cute. It feels very natural - apart from the "manspreading" line, which just kind of came out of nowhere.

What's better/worse is that when we see Shatterstar later in this issue... HE HAS ONE ALSO.

I just can't even explain it. Why do these weird time-jump crises always result in awful/awesome hairstyle changes for characters? Guido with a beard. Gambit with long flowing locks. Rictor and Shatterstar with the sort of pornstaches you only grow on a dare...

Pornstache-and-Capris Rictor is Worst Rictor, and that's really saying something, because Rictor has always been objectively terrible.

Think about how terrible you have to be to be a part of one of the first openly gay couples in Marvel and the internet -still- doesn't care about you. This is arguably why Marvel made that decision for his character: if there was a huge backlash, they would only lose Rictor, which isn't really a loss at all.

I don't think he died when he became King of Hell. And he lost the throne when the Thunderbolts deposed him.
But he stayed in Hell hoping to get his soul back.

He popped up randomly in Death of X as one of the mutants who helped Cyclops distract the Inhumans while Alchemy destroyed the first Terrigen cloud

And I continue to enjoy that Moon Girl is the only person Karnak appears to be anything approaching nice to.

That cover is a hot mess. The color is atrocious and the style is just so...random. And considering how this ties into a plot involving America being taken over by a fascist organization and countless people being killed or imprisoned, why is Moon Girl smiling?

Really, though, he's great and the interactions of the entire crew are great.
