I'm guessing that he's saying that a hallmark of fascism is when a majority group that holds power claims that they are under "siege" or attack by a minority group and then uses that as justification to start abusing or attacking said minority group. But that's just how I interpreted the statement.

I think the current story is that the Magneto who attacked at the end of Morrison's run was just Xorn Kuan-Yin pretending to be Magneto (pretending to be Xorn...)

And then they introduced Kuan-Yin's twin brother Xorn Shen, who was depowered on M-Day but got his powers back off panel and has been an ally to the X-men and operating out of a monastery in Tibet since Secret Wars ended.

I gotta admit, I can think of few better ways to get on Magneto's good side than handing him the severed head of the Red Skull. And hey, it's not like Eric has ever had that much of a problem with fascism when it benefits him and doesn't target his people.

I also really hope this doesn't end with Steve just getting turned back, but with Good Steve getting a separate physical body and getting into an epic throwdown with Evil Steve.

I find myself running hot and cold with Spencer, but this is pretty good.

This time Sally Floyd is right, but the lingering distaste is such that you don't feel as bad as you should. That closing line should be in the dictionary under Sick Fucking Burn.

Spencer has at least made Hydra-Cap three-dimensional. And offering the Red Skull's...um, skull...to Magneto? That's master-class manipulation, there. "We both know you can't trust me to help you, but how's about we help each other FOR NOW" is a pretty decent approach.

That last line... man, whether you care for this or not, you kind of have to admire the way they brought this whole thing between them full circle like that.

I know that Magneto has mellowed a bit, but honestly? I think Magnus might have been justified in pulling some scrap metal in from outside and impaling evil!Steve right there. And if this monster weren't running around with the face of good guy Captain America, that might have been the most character-consistent end to that scene.

Well, maybe just keeping Steve locked up in a high-tech cage would be more consistent.
