This issue completely defied my expectations, and I love that. I'm incredibly relieved that Future!Kate didn't turn villainous. Jason being Kate's lieutenant and Tim being the new Batman were also big surprises. Having her glider from issue #3 return was a nice touch, as was designing this new costume (particularly the mask) to look like the Injusticeverse version, since the situations are similar.

I'm actually not too bothered by Renee's death. She went down fighting (though Kate is technically to blame for ducking the shot), their status as soulmates was confirmed, and, most importantly, this is only a possible future and can be avoided. I don't think it counts as fridging because Kate was already committed to the mission of killing Tim!Batman.

I'm really excited to see how this future develops and is averted.

Tim also went bad in the "Titans Tomorrow" story, where he executed villains with Joe Chill's gun. IIRC, all that was due to Raven's influence.

Are we sure she's dead? Normally dead people don't hold onto the person who are carrying them and keep their head up.

I'm okay with it for Gotham, because I can imagine the events of No Man's Land left it in a legally anomalous circumstance, like Kowloon City.

Yeah, I've always dug seeing someone else wear the Batsuit (not hating on Bruce, just a legacy character thing). I've always thought it'd be Tim who'd be in most danger of scarily effective overreaching if he became Batman.

It might just be my dislike for the character but I can completely believe that Tim would be a nazi

Isn't this kind of really similar to the upcoming Nightwing miniseries but with Tim Drake instead? Seems weird to do both at once.

Only superficially, from what we know at the moment. With The New Order, it seems like Dick will be the one to realize he made a mistake in forming his regime, so that's a significant difference already.
