It seems to be a thing lately with Ellis, right? The scene with daddy exposition and young, independent woman.

Hmm. I remember that from Trees. Where else? Desolation Jones?

I don't immediately recall it being a thing anywhere else unless you really stretch the reading of a couple of scenes in Injection, but there's always been a lot of Ellis himself in his characters, and his daughter Lilith just graduated college. I'd imagine a lot of Lilith is showing up in his younger female characters right about now.

I suppose that's vastly preferable to the themes that tend to show up regarding younger female characters in Alan Moore's work.
