i'm confused... I am not well versed with the Lantern Lore... it thought the controllers were the first ones to make the Sinestro rings

no the Yellow rings come for Qward, the anti-matter universe, at least initially.

Please Green Lantern writers, just for a week lock yourselves in your homes and read in secret the whole of "With this Ring" fanfic by Mr.Zoat.

Then go ahead and write stories with the Guardians/Controllers/Etc... which make sense and reveal interesting factions. Don't just reprise these portrayals of villainy 101.

Aren't Guardians supposed to be at least Superman-level invulnerable, in addition to being like living power batteries and the universe's most powerful telepaths? I mean, the Controllers are one of the few opponents I can see actually being able to get the jump on them with enough preparation, but this seems to be happening awfully easily.
