The investigating detectives, Amarillo and Ochre, considered things in Mr. Boddy's study.
Ochre took a book from the wall.
The bookcase swung open.
Boddy's fourth-wall-breaking butler Upton (whose name might come from Upton Grey) exposited on what they saw.
Upton went about his duties.
The detectives went about theirs, confronting each of Boddy's still alive guests with the possible motives they'd discovered in the dead man's secret room.
Professor Plum went to Dr. Orchid.
Orchid took the lead, taking Plum to Boddy's study.
They saw the open bookcase- and Detective Ochre inside.
" Professor. Doctor. Didn't we tell you to stay in your rooms? "
" Detective! You- you did. But.. but we were looking for.. "
" For this very room? "
The detective went for his handcuffs.
Plum smacked him with a book.
The two of them went out the window.
Someone else came in.
" Orchid? "
(The movie references in this are simultaneously unobtrusive and obvious.)
