But let's be honest. the book ending with the end of the world in a time paradox because of Peter acidentally overhearing his future self would be quite a twist.

Except they're not in their actual past, they're in a divergent timeline. Apparently, Dr Doom's time machine was modified so that it takes you into an alternate past timeline, to avoid causing paradoxes.

Crap. that means that timeline is doomed to either ending in an apocalyptic event or having Peter have a half-way happy outcome.

I always wanted to see one of those stories that resolves as soon as Peter realizes there's nothing good on TV.

This reminds me of a review of this week's episode of The Flash. EW.com said lots of superheroes lose friends and family, and none of them have the healthiest grieving process.

I mean, Peter's response to the death of Ned Leeds was to propose to Mary Jane. Who WASN'T his girlfriend at the time. As Alan Moore said, "Obvious, in hindsight."

Nah, that's Teresa. She's only appeared in this run and the Family Business OGN. She may or may not be Peter's long lost sister and she's currently on the run from an evil SHIELD splinter group.
