I first saw this in the BBC Sherlock and I love it every time. The super smart Detective mutters a bunch of mumbo jumbo about how they figured something out, gets called in it, and then reveals the answer to be completely mundane.

Since when? I thought by now everyone knew Batman and Bruce Wayne were connected somehow by way of funding or whatever. Batman, Inc, still happened, right?
Certainly, it makes more sense that Bruce knows a way to call in Batman, than it does for him to show up and start spouting techno-gibberish at random street thugs.

It's just -weird- seeing Bruce Wayne do detective legwork, when historically he was the semi-useless playboy billionaire.

Working with Wayne has to be a nightmare. One day he litterally doesn't give a shit and is off banging starlets or whatever, the next day he is chewing your asshole inside out because he found two errors in your 500 slide power point presentation and has found away to improve processors speeds by 15%.

...and then his kid shows up at a board meeting in his place and demands to be taken seriously.
