" Have you forgotten where my loyalties lie? "
(Like her father, the Empress trained as a Knight.)
Back on that planet, Ania's course led her into a pit of spider-things.
The hunter led her away.

The shape in the smoke shot out of it, a speeder bike that turned and knocked the hunter for a loop.
Ania dove for the hunter's blaster, caught it, and rolled to her knees.
" Thanks for the help but- "
