Wow. I usually like T-Bolts but that was.. something.

So... what's up with Abe? Coloring error?

Nope. He was on the run at the time so Fixer gave him a race change so no one would connect the new Mach # with the old Mach #

It didn't make much more sense in context.

Don't forget, this was during the time when Robot!Techno was masquerading as the Ogre, and the race change was, from his point of view, for shits and giggles as part of giving Abe a new look.

Fabian's Fixer/Techno is so wonderfully ridiculous. Remember when he offered to clone a major celebrity (Kevin Costner?) so Zemo would have a spare body?

He also literally wired a holographic communications array into the ass of Hawkeye's costume, based on an offhand comment by Clint.

He was fun :P

And the Cable & Deadpool issue where you find out Fixer's pool is decorated with paintings of naked Avengers.

And then pretending he'd broken it so Abe was stuck that way.

Holy crap! Somebody actually followed up on the Hardshell and Strikeback storyline from Lethal Foes of Spider-Man. I never thought much of them, but I would have wished them better off than this. Maybe make them low-level agents of SHIELD or something.

Thunderbolts has always been about digging up the most obscure continuity imaginable.

Yeah, the breakout character in this series had previously been known as a D-list supervillain's girlfriend.

Culminating in the return of the Ogre after a 32 year absence, and the introduction of Humuus Sapien, (the result of a 1973 contest who never saw print until 2001)...

Truly impressive continuity dredging. :)

Using Humus Sapien was truly inspired. It's a shame Mark Gruenwald passed before Thunderbolts came around - he would have loved the hell out of it.
