As you might be able to tell from the title, there is more than one 'mystery' present but I will only be focusing on the main story and not the wraparound.

Does anyone feel that P. Craig Russell's Gaiman prose-to-comics adaptations never live up to the source material?

The covers are all pretty gorgeous, but I suspect that's because Russell inks/paints them himself. Something about the inking/coloring of the interior just feels... soulless.

theres no real darks or value in the coloring - everything feels flat.
