Ladies and gentlemen, the most cringe-inducing moment of the week! Seriously, this reads like a parody.


But yeah, ignoring the fact that Aaron's Avengers has so far been boring as hell (cosmic and TOTAL SHOCK REVELATIONS never make for an interesting experience when it comes to Marvel team books), the She-Hulk stuff is garbage. It is so cringey and hard to read or look at. Just a complete lack of understanding in the character, added to Aaron stating in the past that he wanted to make her into a more interesting character, just does not inspire confidence in this at all.

I'll stick to Synder's Justice League for a relaunch.

Not necessarily a parody, more like a shipping fic between Thor and Hulk that somehow got approved by the higher-ups that then had Bruce switched out without altering the dialogue.

Ewing is off doing Horror Hulk which is a big deal. Aaron actually said something in an interview like "I needed a Hulk so I used She-Hulk." Nothing to do with who she actually is.

that the traumatic experience of almost dying at Thanos hands, her cousins death at the hands of heroes and other things alongside Jen refusing to let them go in a healthy manner have lead to the creation of a representation of said pent up' rage which is the She-Hulk we have in front of us.

but the doylist explanation is that Aaron just wanted a female version of not-smart Hulk.

But the Watsonian explanation doesn't hold up because in her title, Jen worked through her trauma, and returned to the She Hulk we love. Not this thing.

And, again, Grey She-Hulk wasn’t the always angry “Hulk smash puny Walters” type, she was terrified and rage-filled who seldom spoke (plus her sentences were, while short, mostly grammatically correct and in the first person).

And he said he wants to "differentiate her more from the Banner Hulk, and make her a more unique interesting version of the Hulk in her own right." But....she already was that. He's making her more like Banner Hulk with the lashing out and "oh God what have I done" and even her physique.

Honestly, this plot line might work better with Red She-Hulk since she's been more abrasive and harsher, thus making a more Hulk She-Hulk better fitting. But no, can't do that... since they got rid of her. :\

ACTUAL She-Hulk and Thor could be fun. Although honestly I'm not that crazy about how Aaron writes Thor/Odinson recently either.

My only objection would be that I'm sure I've seen Thor mention a fling or one-night-stand with Patsy Walker, and I don't think Jen's the type to type to poach a good friend's little black book like that, even if it wasn't anything significant to said friend.

Might be worth it just to hear her thoughts on a comparison with Hercules, though.

A Thor: Ragnarok ficlit. What if, instead of merely saying "sun's going down", Thor had tried the full Black Widow method? Takes place in an alternate continuity where Bruce is female. Please like and comment!

The way to enjoy this is to read it as an Exiles story. Its a different world, and the Avengers are all somewhat different from the people we know. The art is good, and the Exiles team has just not shown up yet.
