Very slightly related, and I assume there will be a separate post on this, but G. Willow Wilson is taking over as the new Wonder Woman writer.

Based on her owrk Ms. Marvel, I feel it is an inspired choice as she can probably really start looking at Diana from a very different, culturally nuanced perspective.

So what's going on with Kamala's powers?

(Also, always nice to see The Shocker show up--even better when he seems to be having a good day.)

It's not stated outright, but the implication is that it's anxiety over her complicated relationship with Bruno.

Good to know your limitations, yes?

I love Shocker so much. He can be in a story where he's a badass and a month later he can be a joke and I usually consider both stories perfectly valid.

It really makes you wonder why more of these small scale villains don’t pull jobs in cities with far fewer heroes.

I assume NYC is the easiest place to get and maintain super gear.

Something breaks in Kansas? You're kinda screwed. Big city? You can get the parts you need.

This? This, I like. Places with the folks like Justin Hammer (or whoever's holding up his legacy these days) or the Tinkerer to supply you make more sense to set up shop.

I figure there's other reasons, like "probably no-one shows, but if there is, it's a team who has a jet or teleportation or other high end junk," but considering how many low-end supervills use tech, support network is my number one bet.

Oh! And work, the places that hire low-end vils all put want ads in those areas.

And even assuming that the villians don't have a reason not to branch out from NYC, I really don't think it would work all that well for the first couple guys.

Supervillain rampage in NYC? Might not even make the news. Supervillain rampage in Hutchinson, Kansas? The Governor is calling the National Guard or SHIELD or whatever.

You have to be really careful when being a supervillain in most of the country. This is why the Pride were so great. They mostly avoided the silly costumes (human sacrifices notwithstanding), owned the local media and law enforcement, and operated in an area with relatively few superheroes (except for Wonder Man, who doesn't count).

Yea, the Pride were good- if you're in a different area, go *low key*. Wonder Man being there was discouraging for flashy types, but not them.

Reminds me of a Drax mini way before Annihilation, where a crew of alien prisoners crashed on Earth, and some were like, "Alright, we can get rowdy!", but Paibok the Power Skrull was "Oh HECK no, this is Earth. We're gonna shut down all communication, stop anyone from leaving, use some locals to repair our ship, and get the heck out of here. We don't want Avengers or X-men landing on us." Because if a group of aliens cause trouble in a town in the middle of no-where? That's who shows up!

Hey don't worry Kamala, there are worse things than losing to the Shocker.

You could be losing to the Shockmaster!

I would love it if the WWE would license a Shockmaster figure. I need someone to stand next to my Al Snow figure, and my Last Action Hero Hamlet figure with skull launching action.

Really all you need to do is grab a Stormtrooper toy pop off the head, sodder it onto the body of a Wrestler toy, then dip the head in blue glitter.

And then you can sue the leftover wrestler head and storm trooper body to create HHH of the first order!

(Hey, considering he's been The Terminator and Shao Khan at previous Wrestlemania, Its only a matter of time before he comes out as Kylo Ren).
