NS: Teen Titans Go! (to the Movies)

Now that reactions to Teen Titans Go! to the Movies have had time to settle, what did people here think of the film? Did you see said film at all?

Didn't see it as didn't really have any intention to see it. Plus I think I've already seen too many movies this year anyways. Taking a break from movies until at least October or November.

Apparently there's a mid-credits scene which teases a season six for the first series.

If so. it is probably for the new streaming service.
With that and the......... not good... reactions to the Titans trailer, I wonder if this will mark a cease fire so they can focus on hating how awful the live-action show is.

I liked it. It was really funny, and the poop jokes were actually the highlight of the movie for once.

Haven't seen it, but the Rotten Tomatoes score is looking promising.

In the actual reviews I'm seeing a lot of "such a breath of fresh air" in comparison to DC movies. So maybe the grimdark of most of the DCCU oeuvre will skew things a bit towards the positive side.

Also a lot of "this movie cleverly parodied superheroes blah blah blah" and "jokes for adults too" so it's also nice to see that that stuff wasn't just the trailers being a one trick pony.

Stan Lee had a cameo. so as a MCU fan I am contractually obligated to say it was a good movie.

I really enjoyed it. But then again, TTGO is probably my favorite incarnation of the Titans.

There are a couple of really funny jokes in the film.

It has just as many fart and poop jokes as it has in-jokes.

And it's HILARIOUS.

I took my niece to see it last week and we both loved it. I'd gone in mostly blind because, while I knew about the show, I'd never really watched it. And I had a great time.
