Betsy mentions above that this is a brand new body she made for herself.. somehow. The original should still be dead... I guess?

I mean, better late than never, but after 20+ years of Psylocke riding around in Revanche's body, I do wonder if this can possibly stick.

Also, though all of us here are, obviously, very big nerds, I wonder how this would look to more casual fans. Psylocke, a character who they've in all likelihood always known as an Asian woman from movies, games, and cartoons, suddenly turning into a white lady and saying "This is the real me!" must look awfully strange.

Psylocke's a mess, is what I'm saying.

That's a hell of a long time for any quo to remain status in comic books, especially with the X-Men.

Finally, though this should have been done years ago. A white woman taking over an Asian woman's body like was problematic as hell.

Telepathics have often usually been able to do this in the X-books, especially from the Claremont days. IIRC professor X once pointed out he had very, very weak telekinesis but it wasn't worth ever talking about again, as if psychic powers fall into a broad pool with some characters being better at parts than others but all of it interconnected. Some writers don't like the astral plane/psionic self method of telepathy in the MU and break it down to the ability to actually manipulate the matter and signalling systems of the brain. It may be... kind of a mess.

There was also this time The X-men went to the Savage Land, and Rachel Summers got brainwashed by a dinosaur person into beliving she was a dinosaur person, and so she began actually slowly transforming into a dinosaur person because she was subconsciously altering her DNA with her telekinesis to match what her new mental self image was.

Which, considering some of the shit that happened to the X- teams under Claremont probably doesn't even move the needle on their weird shit o meter. But I'm pretty sure nothing actually works like that.
