To quote from it's own website, "Grrl Power is a comic about a crazy nerdette that becomes a superheroine. Humor, action, cheesecake, beefcake, 'splosions, and maybe some drama. Possibly ninjas."

More specifically, the series focuses on neophyte super-hero and super-fan girl Sydney Scooville, called Halo, who possesses seven orbs of unknown origin that may make her the most powerful person on Earth.  She's joined ARCHERON, a military run organization partially centered around policing rogue supers.

It's very much a "everything and the kitchen sink" universe, including a main character who's part succubus, part alien, and part cyborg.

There is a lot of fan service, both male and female, but it never feels too forced.

There is also a LOT of discussion of various tropes.

Page 193 is worth a visit just for the cartoonist's description of that guy in the stupid blue hat.

I feel bad about liking this webcomic as much as I do.

"Look behind them. Assume you'll miss them and hit that."

Very sound and succinct advice, that.

I totally ship Syd with Tony. (how is THAT for a call back?)
Tony is the guy who has a half-sister / cousin, because their dad knocked up a pair of identical twins in a 3 way during a college party and they all live together.
(pages 18-19)
(oh god, I'd forgotten about Syd in the Power Girl boob window shirt on page 21)

also the series opens with Syd and her friends playing the Mayfair Exponential Game System edition of some superhero RPG. (may not be DC, and I hope they aren't running the Blood of Heroes setting, because UGH, it is bad.)

worst Christmas gift EVER!

I also love the signs in the shower rooms
on the women's side: "No none of the guys have X-Ray vision"
on the men's side: "Try not to think about the fact that some of the most beautiful women on Earth are showering, changing, and possibly having tickle fights on the other side of this wall."

An evil genius, according to Math.

More seriously, I'd be guessing Harem. It's the kind of thing that'd appeal to her sense of humor.
