Why do they feel the need to constantly change Midnighter's mask? It never sticks.

I think it's a good design. Far better than 'chin spike', something even the 90s would say is too much.

Sure, but that's like saying something is preferable to the heat death of the universe.

I like this as long as he can remove the faceplate. It's not quite the Midnighter if you can't see him grin as he cripples people.

I'll be honest, I wasn't really gone on the idea of "Ric" Grayson, but seeing how that's actually about multiple Nightwings rather than just one got me interested (plus, the return of Duela Dent! Yay (hopefully)!). Then I heard about Scott Lobdell being a serial harasser, so while I'm intrigued by the concept and characters, I don't really want to support him.

This isn't meant as snarky, but is it critically acclaimed? The most of the response I've seen has been more neutral.

That's been critically acclaimed from critical outlets, at least.

"Critically acclaimed" is a buzzword, like how events will claim "it will change the world forever!" or movie trailers will say "from visionary director". It lacks any actual meaning.

I thought this issue of Nightwing was co-written by somebody, a certain someone who now blames his sexual predatory behavior on Gene Simmons, James Bond and The Fonz.

Corrrect. A leaked solicitation showed him co-writing with Lobdell, but DC removed him from the final solicitations. Previews has already been printed and will show his name.

just as an FYI, that cover for Heroes in Crisis has been pulled, as the author felt it implied the assault on Ivy was sexual in nature, as opposed to homicidal, and DC has accommodated that request
