Posting a bit from three chapters of the first volume of Kaguya-Sama, Love is War a series I just got into cause of the currently airing anime adaptation. This is a romantic comedy, but if you think that's not the most serious business in the world, I have one thing to say to you...

Today we will show the profile of the school, and a preamble on our combatants before moving onto our battlefields, a movie theatre and the insidious mind game, twenty-questions.

8: How do you like it, like as a person or--? -I can't answer that only yes or no questions.

9: Is it alive - that would be a yes? *blushing intensifies*

10: Is it smart, and handsome with piercing eyes and light colored hair? - yes.

Also the anime has my favourite OP of the season

You can't mention the anime without the Chika Dance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDK-NlGq_Dk

I really love this series, the characters are so adorkable, and I love some of the minor touches and characters.

Yay, Love is War! I'm a sucker for a good love story, and I really like the twist on the 'will they/won't they' dynamic by actually having them be aware of the other's feelings (for the most part, at least) and framing their competitiveness as a Light vs. L-type game of cat-and-mouse.

So it's Flirty Mind Games: The Series?

Yeah, this looks fun. Thanks for the recommendation.

Kind of?

The characters start out as these geniuses playing mind games, but within a few chapters devolve into a pair of clueless dorks desperately trying to hide their clueless dorkiness from their crush (and often getting spectacularly bad advice from other character)

They still play mind games, mind.

It does that a lot, there was a (mock) interview that went something like:

"Duel of war between geniuses?"
"Yes, I am sorry."

Also I think there is at least one (and I think several) points where Kaguya outright says that hiding your feelings from your crush is silly and the narrator goes "DON'T SO EASILY DISMISS THE ENTIRE PREMISE OF THE MANGA!"
