Having only seen the scans out of their full context, a feeling a little trepidatious about the event as a whole, I'm a fan of Wally's interview at the bottom.
I mean, there's parts I *hate*. The 'shocking' death count. The fact that Barry's 'death' is cemented in Rebirth continuity without any context for how that works. (Is Final Crisis, where he returned, still in continuity? What about Secret Crisis? What exactly counts and doesn't, at this point?) I feel like Ted showed up in a decidedly non-Blue Beetle capacity at some point, so having him & Booster pal'ing around again is weird. Also, this throws Booster into a weird place with his personal continuity... is he still Rip's Dad? Why is Rip helping Batman track him down?
Some of it is okay? Like, Barry & Batman as the bumbling detectives in this story is a twist I never thought I'd see. Also the sheer silliness of Barry searching entire continents is ridiculously funny and stupid at the same time.
But this seems, more and more, to hinge on Wally and the reboot. And to hang an entire story on something as meta as 'my family doesn't exist because the timeline got rolled back' is... well it's REALLY weird. Like.. the reboot is a festering wound in DC comics, and this just... shines a spotlight on it. On how it shouldn't work. On how it just... breaks Wally as a character.
And I don't see how we move forward from this without magicking his family back (reversing more of the reboot) but then aging him out of his 'peer' bracket (the rest of the Titans are decidely in the 'young' adult category. Or it leaves him broken... or dead.
I'm open to being surprised, but... it's pretty rare when a story sets out on a premise this precarious that the writer sticks the landing. Hell, sticking the landing is usually the weakest part of event books, and this started out being super shaky to me.
I know that Batman's pauses are meant to represent the Flash running off in between moments, but I can't help but read that as Adam West being Adam West in the role.
i kinda like the Harley/Booster scene... what happens with them after (honestly, the Harley/BG, Booster/BB scenes are the only ones I like...) also... how is Ted alive?
