NS: Titans reveals the Nightwing costume

Starting the weekend with some pretty, proper images of the Nightwing suit which will be debuting in next week's Titans season finale episode have appeared, and me being me, I had to share...

Potential spoilers for next weeks episode under the cut (in the form of scenes from the "Next Week Teaser")


Now if there's one thing Dick Grayson should be good at, it's dramatic entrances (He learned from the best), and this does not disappoint

Now if I'm honest, I'm not always a fan of the body armour look, if I'm going to suspend my disbelief enough to deal with acrobatic vigilantes being a thing, then I can accept spandex as being enough protection, but I'm old fashioned like that, and even then I have to say m'man Mr Grayson is looking pretty darned good in it (If a little... video-game-ish)





So how does it look in proper motion? Well, we'll find out next week, but here's the trailer for the season finale next week which gives us a hint.

I'm just happy we're seeing a live-action Dick Grayson. He's a sadly-underutilized character who should get way more attention.

It's to me weird that Dick is now Nightwing in the show but isn't in the comic...after not having a proper secret identity in either for just over a year.

What exactly makes this Deathstroke so dangerous that an Amazon, the daughter of a demon and a fire spewing alien are too scared to fight back?

I don't think they're scared, so much as surprised.

As for Deathstroke, he got involved with the Titans when he killed Aqualad, who Donna was in a relationship with at the time. He hadn't been trying to kill him, he just stepped into the path of the bullet.

He's strong, fast and skilled/ruthless enough to go toe to toe with Donna and beat her (He didn't killer because he was making a point), so he's a serious threat.

Not a bad look, and it's very satisfying to finally see Nightwing in live action. I quite like that they preserved the finger stripes, a minor, yet essential detail to me.

It's a little more armored than I'd have hoped, but generally in keeping with Titans whole aesthetic. That said, it's a little... codpiece-y.

I am very disappointed. The series seems to be doing everything in its might to deter Dick's eastrogen brigade, desexing him and instead focusing on his female partners being sexy.
