This is one of the themes we've been exploring right from the start - the idea of anger as something that can be harnessed and used, and used for positive change. We've had periods of Hulk's history where Bruce has tried to use the Hulk to do good, but there was still that separation between them -- Bruce's desire to divorce himself from his own rage, to deny it, to lock it down. Now, by fully accepting his dissociative identity disorder and working closely with his alters, Bruce is arguably more complete and whole than he's been in a very long time. -- Al Ewing

I sometimes struggle with where Al Ewing's voice intersects with the characters with regard to themes it's trying to put across, but I think this might be one of the most successful superhero comics of the past twenty years at integrating politics and capes.

Okay, that's a really clever way to integrate the phrase "Planet Hulk".

I've read this more than a few times and i just now noticed the daughter in the background after Hulk...does whatever he does to her dad.

According to the next issue, Hulk sent him to the hospital, and he has to eat everything through a straw.

It's not like it would have been any loss for the world if he'd smashed him to paste.

Of course, Ewing would remember than Xemnu the Titan was originally called "the Hulk."

And he once successfully merchandised him.
