LMAO! You are so right. On Jay and Miles X-Plain the X-men, they wondered if Beast had become a supervillain -- this was when he brought the original five X-men forward in time and almost destroyed the universe.

My favorite versions of Beast are the friendly verbose genius from the '90s cartoon and the fun goofball from Avengers. The evil bastard who fucks ups everything he does just doesn't have the same appeal.

The interesting thing to me is that he turned into this guy as a reaction to thinking *Scott* had become evil.

And then of course we have all those times where he keeps inventing viruses that take out mutants. Honestly, they should not let him near a lab. You'd think they would have learned that by now.

Yep, making the “hard” decisions ends up causing total ruin for the future and worsening the situation because they don’t trust anyone else despite asking for total trust themselves, so now they have to keep making more lies to cover their first lie(s) all because they need to be top dog.

I note though that the short skirt time was when everyone was falling in love with Jean, and she had a number of carnal thoughts she could not act upon. Now she is in an environment where acting on such thoughts is heavily approved of, and she can have the body she had thirty years ago. Creepy lust is not monopolized by old men.

Have you ever noticed that when someone talks about taking hard decisions for the greater good, it almost always involves the same course of action that is quickest and most convenient to them? When do they nuke Krakoa? Soon, please let it be soon. Hit the hard reset and have them go back to being an idealist group that works out of a school in upstate New York.

General rule of thumb: whenever someone or something’s making “hard” choices or “tough” sacrifices, they’re usually just making the selfish ones.

As to when they'll nuke Krakoa? Mystique will most likely do it when it becomes crystal clear that they are not ever going to bring Destiny back. In which case, Moira will die, and there goes the time line?

I've always loved that panel since IIRC it comes right after Uatu reveals that there were several futures where mutants and humans achieved peace which were prevented from occurring because of his actions.

Well even before Moria was retconned into a Mutant version of Original Recipe Guardians Starhawk* she was prone to making some fucked up over reaching decisions without properly planning for the consequences such as experimenting on baby magneto or how she chose to deal with her mutant son.

Post retcon she is probably more deserving of the throne for mutant who has fucked things up the most with Beast running second sicne he's only been this way for a few years and she's been like this for multiple lifetimes now.

You do realize that you just killed your theory and Marvel's that humans and mutants would achieve peace if it weren't for Beast, right? We still have Iron Man, Captain America, Fantastic Four, Moira, Xavier, Magento and everyone else to muck things up.

I never said they'd achieve peace without Beast I just said he destroyed multiple futures where they did.

A side effect of Every possibility existing in marvel's multiverse is there are going to be just as many bad futures as good ones. I mean given that every possibility exist there are probably futures where him being a real bastard actually saved the day. The incident with the past five was more Beast tampered with forces he didn't understood and wiped out several good time lines because of his actions.

I mean out of universe the reason we see more bad futures than good is that 616 or whatever they are calling it now is the main time line and they constantly need things for the heroes to fight even if the constant doom and gloom gets really old.
