So, this issue reveals a hitherto undisclosed part of the Ghost Rider curse: in addition to being compelled to punish those who spill innocent blood, GR must also always act the Good Samaritan, and pick up any hitchhiker they come across. Naturally, this results in a wacky escapade with sliced off faces, bereft of dialogue or sound effects.
On the final two pages, we are introduced to a member of ORCHIS' supernatural division, proving once and for all that the organisation is the friendly face of human superiority.

"If you look at Issue #1 of X-Force, the very first scene after the cold open is about Wolverine and Beast. This is during the honeymoon phase of Krakoa. Beast is out harvesting plants and marveling at the biological wonders available to them. But his fascination blinds him to risk, and he is almost killed by a monstrosity the island has born. Wolverine saves Hank at the last second. Just as Logan is about to take the monster out, Beast pleads with him to "let it be." You can see, in this moment, the glimmer in both their eyes. Wolverine doesn't trust this place, and of course, he's going to walk away from it eventually. And Beast…well, he's all in." - Benjamin Percy

I want to read exciting tales of flaming motorcycle skeletons, and this issue does give a two page montage of things that would each have been more exciting than pages of purple prose!

Well, page space is at a premium, isn't it? So they must have other things more important to show.
Check out the price on the cover. This is a pricier issue, with 150% regular page count. Space is not an issue here. Indeed, they devote much time to exploring who it is that is responsible for the current state of the U.S.
