New Mutants D&D: Chapter 3- Forest of Fear

No sooner do the heroes reach the Forest of Fear, then they see a young woman being menaced by some wrong 'uns. They should probably help.

'Self casts Burning Hands!'

The heroes make short work of the baddies and the stranger introduces herself. She is Sharon the Beast Mistress and was a former underling of the White Queen. The White Queen sent the creatures to eliminate her. Now Sharon is safe and offers to teach Animal Friendship to one of the heroes. Dani takes her up on the offer.

Unfortunately, the sound of the fight as attracted a pack of dire wolves.

Sam takes on the alpha wolf while the others take on the rest of the pack.

Dani takes the opportunity to try out Animal Friendship.

The sound if fighting didn't only attract a pack of wolves. A hero by the name of Doreen O' the Green comes to investigate with her partner Tippicheep. She offers to escort the party through the forest to make sure they keep out of trouble.

The heroes set up camp for the night. Back in town, Roberto refused to buy provisions because he is a barbarian and barbarians take what they want, by Crom! Tippicheep notices that the mushrooms that Roberto is eating are poisonous and tries to warn him, but it is too late. Fortunately, Doreen knows where to find an antidote. They will need to take a detour to the Cave of Bones. Unfortunately, the Cave of Bones is guarded by a fearsome monster.
