Still say he's a step up from Joker.

Probably a step down from Ivy though.

Harley has never had good taste in men. Her taste in women is better. If Booster is any indication, the taste in men is not great, but its much improved.

He's not a serial killer and he hasn't drugged anyone into being his sex slave unlike Ivy. (Although that's pre-52 I guess, IDK how the canon is before that.)

Harleys been known to have some sympathy for people who fall for the wrong person and get into trouble. I wonder how she feels about Ivys roofied partners? Come to think of it there is a certain parallel between the mooks relationship with Ivy and her own with the Joker.

Seriously. I get the whole 'yay lesbians' bit (well, I think they're both bi?), but Ivy's still a serial mass murderer who often has genocidal intentions towards humanity. Sure Ivy's better than Joker, but that's a bar so low it's swimming in magma and she still barely clears it. At least when Booster gets people killed it's a fuckup on his part, not everything going exactly as planned like it is for Ivy.

(Of course Harley is also guilty of a few intentional atrocities herself, but DC keeps trying to sweep those under a rug so she can be a protagonist.)

I mean, Booster did come from a JL era where half the team was later retconned as spying on the other half and both Identity Crisis and Heroes in Crisis are about members of the League covering up crimes.

I really don't think I'll ever forgive DC for what they've turned the JLI into.

To be fair most super heroes do treat Booster like shit. Even Superman thinks he's an asshole.

but to be more fair he IS an asshole most of the time, or at least gives the impression of being one.

I guess you could argue that he was a bad influence on Blue Beetle.

Still, that era's Wally West was probably worse and the other heroes love him until the nu52 ruined everything. Then you have Guy, obviously.

In fact I'm pretty sure at one point Guy made a run at Russia to try and destroy their nukes, and ran right into the Rocket Red brigade.

Considering that Heroes in Crisis was 50% stupid and 45% shit, this might be the most interesting thing to have come out of it.

At least Booster serving as a football coach makes sense. He'd probably have a betetr career there than trying to be a super-hero at this point.

I really like this pairing - mostly because I would have never considered it yet both seem to complement each other well. I would definitely buy/read a book with these two headlining it. I did not like Heroes in Crisis but it does seem some good came from it. I am not sure how far this relationship will go but I hope they at least remain friends so they can have many good adventures.

On a side note: I honestly forget Ivy's homicidal/psychopathic side so often. It is probably because standing next to Harley she looks a lot more sane/put together.
