All right, I'm old and crotchety and anyway I hate the Black Order and Thanos having visible eyeballs, but this is a perfect redevelopment of Starlin's Thanos. A nihilist, a humanist, and a revolutionary. Someone who can only find truth by watching a weak soul confront the universe in full awareness and without fear. He becomes that ideal as best he can be, and makes Gamora do the same, and is paralyzed with loss and horror and pride when she's better at it than he is. Because any little girl would be.

Tini Howard, you have my attention.
