I'm not a fan of stories that say "Casual actions of heroes have killed innocent people." I don't like it when they do it to Hulk, and I don't like it when they do it to Wolverine.
They'll argue that it's 'realistic' that Hulk or Wolverine would inadvertently kill people with their violent actions (and it's not like Wolverine *doesn't* kill people intentionally on camera sometimes), but I feel like if you start peeling away at the onion that is the suspension of disbelief that in super hero comics cartoon violence is an acceptable answer to the problem, the whole thing starts to come apart at the seams.
If bank robbers that the Thing stops are in wheel chairs because of his strength, is he a lovable superhero still? Can Captain America's huge shield bounce off people's heads without doing critical damage to people's skulls? Probably not.
Maybe it makes me childish, but I believe you have to respect the genre for what it is, and stories like this apply a cynical realism that undercuts the entire superhero ecosystem.
In fairness, Logan is an anti-hero who falls back on excessive violence more often than not.
I just dislike how often comics are willing to throw shade at Spidey or Batman for not killing their rogues, but have the guys who unleash rivers of blood like Punisher or Logan, somehow never harm anyone sympathetic with their killing sprees, emotionally or otherwise.
The closest we get here is the guy who's girl died because of a bar fight, yet we don't know who threw the chair. And if it ever gets addressed again, it'll be to absolve Logan (no doubt revealing it was done by Creed or Raven)
Wait, is she mad at Wolverine for killing Gorgon? Cause isn't Gorgon alive and well and living happily on Krakoa except when he takes field trips to nonlethally disable attack squads and then squirt raspberry sauce all over their unconscious bodies?
Also, Dunwich Sanitorium, you say? Some sort of mental health facility named after a Lovecraft town, you say? I'm sure it's a well-run and humane facility, providing the best of care.
So, the Red Right Hand was an organisation made up of survivors of Wolverine's collateral damage, and their revenge plot involved sending Wolverine's soul to Hell and killing all his children.
These guys, survivors of Wolverine's collateral damage, are going to dump Logan into a frozen lake.

Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.
