My head canon is that Aunt Agatha is actually an old secret agent friend of Alfred's who came in to help them out, and couldn't help but fuck with them in the process...

Unbeknownst to Bruce, there is actually an extensive network of friends and family, who secretly know his identity as Batman. Aunt Agatha really does know, but doesn't wont to worry her nephew so she keeps it secret.

Every couple of months they drop in on him, to make sure everything's okay and help keep him from getting killed.
