On one month nothing has happened yet and Batman is worried Joker has something awful planned.

Maybe, but he's fecking everywhere in Batman's comics at the moment, not even counting his other appearances in other titles like mini-series devoted to him and/or Harley.

Some variety would be nice.

Well a lot of that was in part because it was the character’s 80th anniversary and he just had a hugely successful movie. Although after Joker War it will probably go down a bit.

Three Jokers is only three issues and the next one is coming out this month. Joker War is also ending next month. Besides that there’s just the Killer Smile mini which is an AU. So yeah, it’s winding down.

Pretty sure their security is an unlocked door with a sign saying "no escaping please".

... actually, no, scratch that. It'd probably make more sense than what they really have.

In a clever attempt at reverse psychology, it's actually an unlocked door with a sign reading "Please escape."

Really wish DC stopped pushing the concept that Batman being alive does more harm than good.

I was already tired of it when they decided to have Batman created the Joker by accidentally pushing "Jack" into the vat. Then they went "if Batman disappeared, Joker would go dormant." And now they flatout have Joker commit an atrocity every month solely to celebrate Batman's "birthday."

Maybe if Batman doesn't want to shoot the Joker he should shoot himself. Apparently, the result would be the same.

Amen. I'm sick of the 'what do superheroes do for us anyway?' approach in general, but Batman and the Joker especially annoys.

Jesus, I'd heard Fraction's misses could be bad, but... Jesus.

It's a double shame, because Zdarsky legit draws one of the best Jokers I've seen a while. It deserved better than a script this hackneyed.

Batman and Joker don't have a "relationship". Joker might need Batman but Batman does not need Joker and I am so, so tired of this "two halfs of the same coin" bullshit.

I'm a little surprised at the vitriol, since I'm seeing this story called a standout in the issue on other platforms. I mean, yes, we are all incredibly sick of Joker stories in general, and anniversary issues which use a bunch of disconnected action shot panels to imply a bunch of stories which look more interesting that what we actually get to see aren't my favorite, but I don't think this story is dire or anything.

At the very least, getting Batman to loudly demand his birthday present is pretty funny, and Zdarsky's art is quite good.

Belated, but I'm not a Joker fan and this was still my favourite story in the issue. I think people might be taking it a little too seriously.
