Heh...considering the current US leadership , it makes sense.
You have no idea what people will do for cheap and just look at as the way to make life keep on going.

Well, props to the idea that superheroes shouldn't be expected to handle the entire criminal justice and mental health systems themselves.

And, almost as importantly, that as long as nobody is doing anything about those reforms, they're just distractions, and power wins.

Yeah, I rather liked this part. It's a good meta- and in-universe commentary.

And so, with a last gasp of filler, Captain Marvel and his family once again fade back into limbo, until the next time a writer feels the need to victimise Billy or Mary for the sake of drama.

This was such an odd series. There was a lot of potential, all just... pointless or wasted on a random, meandering plot.

Mutter, grumble, sulk.


(... and we never did learn what happened to Hoppy.)

The whole "change from a child into an adult" thing has got to be pretty good at keeping people from guessing your ID, but that slip would certainly have me thinking he's *connected* to one of the students, with a general resemblance to Billy pointing me in that direction...or that he's stalking her, and I wish I hadn't thought of that.

What's with everything ending now? I know they were supposed to be doing that time jump thing, but didn't they just say they aren't going through with it?

Looks like a bit of a standard wrap-up issue, so it might not quite live up to my prediction that Loveness’ single issue would be better than anything that Johns has... ever done with the character, but it does look pretty good. It certainly leaves me wanting to see from Loveness, so it’s just perfect as a fill-in/wrap-up by a book Johns left to die once he was done with it.
