Vampire: The Masquerade - Winter's Teeth #2 was Alejandra Deluna learning the ropes of vampirism.

Issue #1's main story'd put her in the way of Cecily Bain, enforcer for Prince Samantha Merrain of Minneapolis-Saint Paul.

Issue #2 had Bain presenting Alejandra to the Prince as her " childe ", even though she hadn't done any siring - that'd been another vampire, one from whom Alejandra'd apparently been escaping when she met Cecily.

Prince Samantha, looking " Ali " over, noticed something about her.





Cecily and Ali left, heading out into the night - where Ali promptly vomited up the blood from Cecily's stores that'd she'd drank.

Cecily worked out that " .. whatever kind of Kindred you are, the usual substitutes aren't going to cut it. Your body rejects them.

" There's only one way.

" I'm taking you on a hunt. "

Later that night, Cecily described the quarry.



Ali went after Andy, leaving Cecily to ponder a question her ward'd asked, outside the Prince's court: " .. why'd you take me in? "



Cecily got out of the car.



' She's already a vampire.

' There's nothing pure and good left to erase. '



" You lost control. You let the hunger overtake you. It's always a risk when you're a fledgling. It's why I chose Andy.

" Well, one of the reasons. "

The other was illustration - Cecily drove up to a house sitting next to train tracks.



Ali processed the recontextualization of her prey.



" You didn't choose it. And you never would have. "

Ali, flashing back to her siring, mumbled " No. Never. "

So I take it that she DID choose this?
