Why do only the female characters have human lips it's so distracting!

It's just an aesthetic choice by the artist. If you look at his other work in Blacksad, you can see that pretty much all his female characters have more human-ish proportions to their facial features.

When I first read this as a teen, I assumed the sisters were both supposed to be deer. I... I didn't realize for years they are actually also meant to be bears.

There's a bit cut from this where she tell him "you know I wouldn't let a guy touch me", guess implying she made him think she's a lesbian and the marriage was purely for the appearance.

Well. They sure did put a lot of faith into the idea that the guy who attempted to murder his heavily pregnant wife because he is racist and a rabid Christian extremist wouldn't ever attempt to commit marital/corrective rape.

See, this is just so many levels of over-complication, when "find deadbeat dad, sneak into his house at night, murder him, leave town" would've been much easier.

But they didn't want him dead, they wanted him broken and humiliated as revenge.

Oh sweet, I think I saw the game on the Switch eShop a few times and thought that looked cool. What are the comics like, might I ask?

The comics are, in my opinion, good noir stories. The real draw, though, is the art. Page for page, Blacksad is the most beautiful comic book I've ever seen.

Hold your horses there. Yes, the game is on Switch but dear lord, do NOT get the Switch version. It runs horribly, it's prone to crashes, and has horrendous load times. Just get a copy for any other system since the game is good but not good in that version.

I suppose people and ideologies can be complicated, but it feels a especially when applied to children, but it does little odd to have a Klansman denouncing someone for killing 'a little black girl,' as justification for lynching them.

Should be noted that Huk and the rest of the Chapter are lynching Karup not just for thinking he killed a black child but also because they believe he's a pedophile (it's not shown here, but Karup was both the leader of a Cub Scouts troop and the Director of a Children's Choir).
