These scans do kinda demonstrate why I think Vader isn't as good as his rep. I mean, he's a monster against the inexperienced but in a fair fight, he gets crushed

To be fair , I think this is what Vader was suppose to come off when Lucas was in charge. It's Disney that gave Vader more feats and creed.

Then again this is Darth Sidious....

This man killed three Jedi in less than ten seconds and it's never been confirmed whether or not he was holding back in his fight with Mace.

Lets add that he's the only person that we see in the movies that Yoda walks away from while fighting.
