Sooo, we're not gonna mention that one episode where Rick met the devil, pointed him out AS the devil and didn't bat an eye? Just gonna ignore all that for the sake of hamfisted philosophical tracts? All right.

If there's one thing I've learned about Rick and Morty, is that ANY continuity errors can be written off as "it's a different universe's Rick and Morty."

So this is either a Rick who's never crossed paths with Mr Needful, or this is a Rick who has, but still doesn't believe that guy was THE Devil, even if he humored him.
