On the other hand, can we take a moment to consider the symbolism of Diana of all people wielding a chainsaw? A tool whose only purpose is to sever and divide? Hard to get much further from the lasso.
... I can't recall the last event that was simultaneously so insecure and yet up its own arse. (But it's probably Secret Empire.)
"Everything should MATTER." Mattering wasn't the freaking point. It was that DC kept rebooting everything and their attempts to untangle everything just made their continuity more ridiculously convoluted, and their attempt to fix this is... yet more convoluted nonsense, so all you're left with is less continuity and more some bizarre soup. (That and the pointless grimdarkness and the over-adherence to believing the Silver Age was the bestest time ever... okay, it wasn't just one thing.)
If it wasn't for stopping the plot every few minutes to go "it should MATTER. Comics should be FUN and MATTER." this'd be a perfectly average nonsense story about an annoyingly overpowered evil Batman and the astoundingly generic Perpetua (who might as well be wallpaper for all the effect she's actually had in this story).
But it does. So it isn't. Maybe next time they could try skipping talking about having fun and just try having fun.
And an army of hillbillies. Because that's exactly who you want when you're facing the end of all existence - shotgun totin' rednecks.

Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.
