"I made a love letter in the form of our new X-Factor Investigations; which is full of intrigue, action, sexiness, and secret bread-crumb trails for you to find. The entire series is layered with clues about mutant resurrection’s ultimate end-game, but you’ll have to keep reading to figure it all out." - Leah Williams

I loved this issue

Lots of fun character moments and some good intrigue with whatever is happening with Siryn here. Eye Boy continues to be too good for this world and I love seeing Daken continue to find his place on the team. It's a new thing for him to be around actually good people who aren't using him, manipulating him or just want him around because he's good at violence. And I like that he's starting to fit in more and get on better with the rest of X-factor as it goes on

Also while it's not included in these scans, the scene with Prodigy's desire to study mutant forensics and Northstar being the team dad was very very cute and made me grin

Also that scene of them messing with that racist pig (And Northstar and the rest of the teams general disdain for cops in general) brought a smile to my face

Or, put another way: "There, now shut up about Terry being the Morrigan, nerds!"

Northstar: "We need Mutant police! What an innovative idea no-one's had before!"
Polaris: "I'll ask at the next Quiet Council Meeting."
*At the next meeting*
Storm: "... seriously? SERIOUSLY?"
Bishop: "I think it's a good id-" *Storm beans him with a block of ice*

-"Possesses an emotional tint to her telepathy."-
Ooh, so not only can Rachel tell what you're feeling, she can tell what you're feeling.
... wait, hold up... think you might be on t' something, Narration box.

-"You must've forgot about my sonic hypnosis."-
"But Terry, I thought it only effected those who were attracted to w... Ah."
"If you want an easy out, just say it's because I'm a goddess. But ye know it's a lie. Now, if you were Alex, we could say it's because you're easily manipulated... I could take him wi' a laser pointer..."

I will be so happy if Terry's hypnosis working on Lorna is a hint that she's going to be revealed to be bisexual in this series

That really does seem like one of those "There is no straight explanation for this" moments isn't it?

I imagine Chris Claremont is just looking at this and being like "Yep, my legacy endures."

Given that the writer of the series is an extremely awesome person who wants more LGBTQ representation in comics I doubt that this scene looking as gay as it does here was unintentional or just baiting

Oh I wholly agree.

It's another reason why this is one of my favourite books from Marvel right now

Pffah. This is barely a blip on the Claremont-o-meter.
It's probably about a two, tops.

I'd like to see it get to a solid five on the Claremont Scale which is the level where we get lots of fun stuff like hot BDSM/Fetish imagery and lots of talk about "Dark seduction"

Anything higher than five and we start to get into weird territory

Yeah, like Kitty Pryde getting fattened to immobility by a space baby.

Like that's probably a seven on the Claremont scale.

This certainly was a choice on his part

I kind of assumed being Morrigan was why she kept killing herself. I mean the original may be dead, but sheas also a Death Goddess. So every time Krakoa issues a new issue of Siryn, the original calls her home.
