1) It seems both the writer and artist are Black men, so subjectively they would probably notice and be more affected by this line of thinking when it does happen, even if the other way around was statistically more commonplace.

2) It's possible she's supposed to evoke Candace Owens, who, I don't know if she has said something like this in particular, but is currently the highest profile example of internalized racism, and is in fact married to white man (and how).

Speaking as someone who has had to work I lot of jobs interacting with the general public, I'd be fine with Clark decking a few Karens.
